Liebster Blog Award #2

I would like to thank Jeannette of Adventures of Life and Literature for "nominating" me. I really appreciate it ;-)

I'll deviate from the Liebster Blog Award rules and just answer the questions. I'm sorry for not playing by the rules but it's so much work :-( I'll nominate 11 bloggers in a different Liebster post but I'm afraid I can't nominate every time. I might run out of people to nominate. Heh (I'm serious)

The rules of the Liebster Award are as follows:

1. Thank your Liebster Blog Award presenter on your blog and link back to the blogger who presented this award to you;

2. Answer the 11 questions from the nominator, list 11 random facts about yourself and create 11 questions for your nominees;

3. Present the Liebster Blog Award to 11 blogs of 200 followers or less who you feel deserve to be noticed and leave a comment on their blog letting them know they have been chosen. (No tag backs) (opting out of this one for now... sorry)

4. Copy and Paste the blog award on your blog.

Questions from Jeannette:

1. What is your favorite dessert?
Cheesecake!!!

2. What is your favorite book/series of all time?
The Harry Potter series. I'll always and forever be a Potterhead. (oh that reminds me I haven't logged in my Pottermore account in months!)

3. What character do you have the biggest crush on?
I hate it when I get asked questions about book boyfriends and anything related to crushable (that's a word lol) fictional boys. I can never seem to make up my mind easily because there are so many to choose from!!! Since I just finished The Sea of Tranquility I'll go with Josh Bennette. ♥ (is the heart really necessary? Yes.)

4. Where in the world would you most like to visit?
Italy! It sounds cliché but my reasons are very random! I want to 1) drive a Vespa around the narrow streets of Italy; 2) eat legit Italian pasta and just fall in love with it ala Eat.Pray.Love; 3) visit *cue creepy voice saying the Colosseum* in Rome to see if it's truly scary to be in it; 4) visit The Vatican, of course; 5) visit Gardaland and have an amazing time because theme parks are freaking awesome!!!

5. Angel or Devil?
Angel... because they Shimmer. (I'm so bad at puns)

6. Do you have pets?
YES! 6 very energetic and playful Shih Tzu. The dogs outnumber the humans in the house now. Here's a photo of the three 8-month old girl pups, looking for presents under the tree. Yes. We dress them up. They're spoiled like that.

7. What was/is your favorite subject in school?
I can't decide between my English (literature - I had two), or my financial/investment management classes. I love both!

8. What is your favorite foreign accent?
British...... Etienne St. Clair *swoons*

9. In your opinion from books made into movies, which movie best portrays the book?
I want to say all the Harry Potter films but to be specific I think the last two films were able to give justice to the book the most.

10. Walmart or Target?
Target. I don't live in the States though but I'm more familiar with Target. I do know they're essentially the same.

11. Which season do you prefer best (summer, winter, fall, spring)?
We don't really have seasons in the Philippines but I'd have to go with winter because it's relatively cooler during December and January. The Philippines is a tropical country so we crave for cold weather most often than not.

11 Random Facts About Me

1. I think Valentine's Day is overrated. Never been much of a fan even when I was still in a relationship.

2. I put the PRO in procratination.

3. I was born on May 22nd, 1992

4. My favorite TV series is Friends.

5. I used to be an Accounting major.

6. I play Skyrim.

7. I think Emma Stone's voice is sexy. And her slight lisp.

8. I'm tempermental.

9. Whenever people would leave thoughtful comments on my reviews or anywhere on my blog, my day becomes a hundred times better.

10. I'm a terrible story writer. I once made a novelette for my Philippine Literature finals and I did a terrible job. While my teacher commended me for coming up with a very, well thought of original plot, she said the execution was very messy. Thankfully she didn't give me a low grade. That would have sucked even more of course. I mean I already felt bad about the quality of my work. She gave a lot of helpful pointers though so who knows, I might start rewriting it. Someday. In a distant future. When I'm way older, maybe.

11. I wish the Polar Express was real.

What is the Liebster Blog Award?

I was really curious to find out what this was exactly seeing that there wasn't any sort of link to its host site. I did a bit of research (no really I just Googled it and clicked the first hit) and I found Sopphey's blog entry. Apparently she also wanted to find out what the Liebster Blog Award was after being nominated three times.

Having read her post, I say this is still a fun way to reach out to other bloggers. It's a bit time consuming but I think it's a nice gesture "nominating" someone. It's more like featuring blogs than anything else. The "award" in the title can be misleading. Oops. You may opt not to do the same but if you happen to pay it forward, good for you! Making blogger friends is fun!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! ;-)
