I'M ALIVE!

I'M DONE. DONE with exams, papers, quizzes... COLLEGE. WUHOO!

Kind of.

It's not official yet. Graduation ceremony's next month so I have a loooot of free time till then. Before, uh, adult life begins. *gulps*

But anyway. When I bid sorta-goodbye last month (exactly a month ago!) I said my co-blogger, Melo, will drop by to keep you guys entertained during my sorta-absence. Unfortunately he wasn't able to post anything because he also had to deal with his thesis. It's a long story. Touchy subject. We're both back now! And we both don't know what to do with our lives anymore now that we're done with school requirements. Heh. I promise to bug Melo for some blog content, possibly something with both of us in one post, in the coming days. This'll be fun.

AND! We're finishing up that super-secret-post-post-Valentine's-day blog thing Dianne and I having been planning on for weeks now. Sorry for the delay. LIFE.

That's it. I'm officially back to my regular blogging and book eating ways! :D

Writing, Travelling, and Inspiration
By David Estes

First off, a huge thanks to Sab the Book Eater for having me on her AWESOME blog! Today I’ve been given the topic: What's it like to be writing while constantly travelling? Also, did any particular adventure/s help mold Fire Country?

Great topic, Sab! For those of you who don’t know my story, my wife, Adele, and I left our jobs 21 months ago to travel the world while I write young adult books. Over the course of almost two years, we’ve visited more than a dozen countries on six continents, and I’ve written and published seven young adult dystopian books (The Dwellers/Country Sagas). The trip, as well as transitioning into life as a fulltime writer, has been an absolute dream come true, and I owe everything to the incredible support of my readers and bloggers around the world!

My Date From Hell (The Blooming Goddess Trilogy #2)
by Tellulah Darling
Genre: Young Adult Fantasy
Release Date: 10/31/13
Purchase: Amazon | Barnes & Noble | Kobo | The Book Depository
Sophie Bloom’s junior year has been a bit of a train wreck. After the world’s greatest kiss re-awakened Sophie’s true identity as Persephone (Goddess of Spring and Savior of Humanity), she fought her dragon-lady guidance counselor to the death, navigated mean girl Bethany’s bitchy troublemaking, and dealt with the betrayal of her backstabbing ex, Kai (sexy Prince of Darkness). You’d think a girl could catch a break.

Yeah, right.

With Zeus stepping things up, it’s vital that Sophie retrieve Persephone’s memories and discover the location of the ritual to stop Zeus and Hades. So when Aphrodite strikes a deal that can unlock Sophie’s pre-mortal past, what choice does the teen goddess have but to accept?

The mission: stop media mogul Hermes from turning Bethany into a global mega-celebrity. The catch? Aphrodite partners Sophie and Kai to work together … and treat this suicide mission as a date. Which could work out for Sophie’s plan to force Kai to admit his feelings for her–if she doesn’t kill him first.

Add to that the fact that BFF Theo’s love life and other BFF Hannah’s actual life are in Sophie’s hands, and suddenly being a teenager—even a godlike one—seems a bit like … well, hell. Whatever happened to dinner and a movie?

The YA romantic comedy/Greek mythology fireworks continue to fly inMy Date From Hell. Love meets comedy with a whole lot of sass in book two of this teen fantasy romance series. Breaking up is easy; dating is deadly.

Event Recap: Gayle Forman All The Feels Philippines + A Giveaway

This post is 3 weeks late (sigh. Life.) but I'm posting it anyway because I have to admit, I'm still not quite over it. I got to meet the awesome Gayle Forman last January 18th thanks to National Book Store! I finished reading If I Stay the week of the signing so I was super giddy the day itself. I couldn't wait to meet the woman who wrote the book that made me cry in school... around other people. (And yes, I will never get tired of telling that story) This recap is pretty much a photo dump but I hope you enjoy looking through the photos! :D

Before the book signing, I, along with other book bloggers, attended a forum with Gayle. There, we got to ask her questions about her books and her life. Some even asked if they could touch her hair! (she let them by the way) It's so pretty, you just have to touch it.
